Boys of Summer

This summer, Eric and I will attending more baseball games than you could ever possibly imagine. Right now, I'd say it's 85 degrees and sunny out right now. The birds are chirping and I'm wearing sunglasses indoors. Yes.

The Mets got off to a rocky start despite Pedro's great performance. Tonight, we have Tom Glavine going for us. He will win.

please can I go with you to your first Dodgers game?
I saw Steve Sax break a bat over his thigh once. And I also sat behind the USC marching band on occasion. We should buy a grip of tickets.

Alex, it's probably too early for complete disillusionment, but as a fellow Mets fan, I have to say that this franchise rarely rewards optimism. I find that it's better to allow myself to be pleasantly surprised, rather than disappointed (again). I was listening to the game tonight, and it was just too painful, I had to turn it off.

My only consolation is that the Yankees lost, and Mariano Rivera blew his fourth consecutive save opportunity vs. the Red Sox. Praise Jesus that something is working out the way it should.
