Friday...

Kids came trick-or-treating through the office today... I didn't think they'd appreciate binder clips, sharpee markers, or binder clips, so I did a mad dash scramble in my desk to see if I had candy. All I had was a Clif bar, which I didn't offer, not 'cause I'm bad at sharing but because I didn't think 5 year olds would enjoy the burnt tasting barleyoatsgraininess fun of a Clif Bar as much as they would regular candy... Plus, they'd have to split the Clif Bar, which would be no fun... Luckily enough, other people had candy so I didn't come off looking like Mr. Halloween Sucks. Trying to finish the piles of work on my desk but they're huge... Maybe I should have another diet coke and start in on them... Have to remember to get candy for the house in case kids come trick or treating... Or maybe Alex and I will be the creepy people who make people come into their house and bob for apples (I know dentists don't like to give out candy for Halloween, but come on, A. Candy makes cavities which makes them money and B. I didn't dress up, walk over to your house and ring your doorbell just so you'd give me an apple.) In 4th grade, I collected for Unicef instead of asking for candy. I don't know why this seemed like a good idea at the time 'cause afterwards I went home candyless with a box of money I had to bring to school and give to a teacher...
